Nordstrom to gift Nordstrom gift cards to his parents
Nordstrom is giving its gift cards for his parents’ wedding anniversary, and his father is thrilled.
“It was a big deal, and he was really happy,” said John Schneider, Nordstrom’s president and CEO.
“His parents said they’ll take the cards to every Walmart, Target, and Kroger in the U.S. for their wedding anniversary.
It’s a great gift, and we’re excited to be able to help them celebrate their special day.”
Nordstrom, which has been a big supporter of Schneider’s family’s charitable efforts, is giving the cards out in its stores beginning today, along with gift certificates for its signature line of branded clothing and accessories.
“I’ve always loved Nordstrom.
It was the first store I ever visited when I was 10,” Schneider said.
“It was my favorite place, and I think I got the best value.
So, I was thrilled to see them do this.”
He added that the company has been giving out the gift cards since September, and they’re going to continue doing so, with an average of one gift card each day.
“We’ve been thrilled to help so many families celebrate their anniversary, which is a really special thing to be involved in, and it’s just the right thing to do,” Schneider added.
“We hope you will continue to support our family through this.”
Nordsons parents will be able take their cards with them as they travel and to other stores, as well as to Nordstrom retail locations.
“The Nordstrom family has a long history of giving back to the community, and to the communities in which we work,” said Michael Schneider, John Schneider’s father.
“Our family is committed to working with our communities, and Nordstroms generous gift cards will help us continue to give back to our community and our customers.
We’re grateful to the company and look forward to seeing you at our wedding anniversary.”
