You’ll typically pay cash to receive the card.
There are many different types of Visa gift card.

The terms and terms of sale for gift cards will vary by brand.
In general, the terms say that you may use the card only for travel to destinations listed on the card and you may not use the credit card for any purpose other than purchases made with the card in connection with travel.
For example, if you want to use your gift cards to pay for flights or hotel stays at a hotel, you may be charged the value of the ticket price instead of the value added to the credit balance.
You may not transfer the card to another cardholder, even if the card is not yours.
You may be able to get a refund for the unused portion of the card value, which you can do at any time.
The refund amount is typically less than the amount of the credit value you used.
You also may be entitled to an interest-free period of up to 90 days from the date the card expires.
However, you must contact the card issuer to make the claim.
You cannot cancel a Visa card or change the cardholder on a Visa credit card before you redeem it.
The credit limit for a Visa Card is based on the annual percentage rate (APR), which is the rate that is used to determine the value on the credit.

However you may still be eligible to receive a cash refund.
You must use your card for travel or purchases that aren’t included in the card’s redemption value.
You should report your redemption value to your card issuer, which will then send a notification to your credit card company.
You will receive an automated message from Visa that will ask you to confirm your eligibility.
This may take up to five business days to process.
If you cancel a credit card within the first 90 days of the expiration of your card, the card will be charged a cancellation fee.
If your card is used for travel, the fee may be waived.
If the card has been used for purchases that don’t count toward the card holder’s annual percentage point limit, you’ll need to pay a cancellation penalty to avoid being charged the cancellation fee when your card expires at the end of the billing period.
If your card has expired or is suspended, you can ask your card company to cancel the card or pay the cancellation penalty.
